Texas Operations We are proud to be one of only five nationally accredited ambulance services operating in Texas.
In Texas, Acadian Ambulance Service is privileged to provide exceptional and unsurpassed service in Bexar, Travis, Williamson, Orange, Jefferson, Hardin, Sabine, Jasper and Newton counties. Acadian launched its Texas operation in 2006, providing 911 emergency services in Jefferson and Orange counties. Service to Hardin County was added in 2009. In 2007, Acadian expanded to Austin. The following year, the Austin Chamber of Commerce selected Acadian Ambulance as one of the city's best and most admired companies for excellence in customer service. It was the only ambulance company nominated. In 2008, Acadian was selected to provide 911 services to the unincorporated areas of Bexar County. In addition to serving this area of more than 800 square miles and more than 1.6 million residents, Acadian also has contracted with 10 cities bordering San Antonio and in Bexar County to be the sole provider of emergency and non-emergency ambulance transport. Those cities are Castle Hills, China Grove, Fair Oaks Ranch, Grey Forest, Hill Country Village, Hollywood Park, St. Hedwig, Somerset, Von Ormy and Windcrest. In May 2010, Acadian acquired Stat Care EMS in Southeast Texas, adding service areas in Jasper, Newton and Sabine counties. As part of the expansion, the company established a communications center in Beaumont and now dispatches all Southeast Texas calls from that site. Plans are under way to create a National EMS Academy in Silsbee. Most recently, the company's Texas operations were accredited with special commendation and honors by the Commission on Accreditation of Ambulance Services. The special commendation resulted from the fact that no deficiencies were found during an extensive review and on-site inspections by a panel of outside experts. Driven by its expansion in Texas, Acadian Ambulance was selected by Inc. magazine in 2009 as one of the nation’s top 100 fastest-growing companies. The company also was included on the magazine’s “Inc. 5000” list, which ranks businesses by overall revenue growth over a three-year period.
