Education and PR
Air Med Services’ first priority is patent care, but we are happy to appear at events when our schedule allows. Events are scheduled based on availability, distance from the primary response area, audience composition, and the length of stay requested. Examples of events we attend include: - Providing utilization, safety and landing zone in-services to all hospitals, fire departments, law enforcement, and EMS agencies within our service area
- Educational presentations pre-hospital and hospital personnel
- Disaster drills, mock accidents, and injury prevention demonstrations (such as pre-prom event at a high school)
- Community events
In order to schedule an event, we require a contact name and phone number. This contact will be notified if the landing zone is unsecure, if adverse weather is present, or if an emergency call makes it impossible for Air Med Services to attend. If you would like to request that Air Med Services make an appearance at your event, review the landing zone requirements for all unimproved landing zones and then fill out our PR/Education request form.
